East Africa Hosts Southern Africa — Uganda Women and Namibia Women Meet at Entebbe
The Victoria Series continues at the picturesque Entebbe Cricket Oval, where Uganda Women host Namibia Women in a T20I that carries pathway significance for both associate nations. For Uganda, playing at home is a rare advantage in international cricket. For Namibia, this tour represents crucial exposure against different conditions and opponents.
The Contest
Uganda Women have the home advantage and the familiarity with Entebbe's conditions — a ground where the altitude and outfield speed can catch visiting sides off guard. Namibia Women, making one of their first appearances at this venue, will need to adapt quickly to conditions that differ significantly from the surfaces they encounter in southern Africa.
Both sides are building towards the ICC pathway events, and every T20I offers a chance to develop combinations, test young players, and accumulate the kind of match experience that associate nations cannot take for granted. The Victoria Series is precisely the kind of multi-team event that helps these programmes grow.
