Riazat bowled two batters in his first over and later trapped Muhammed Manga lbw. Kasaija bowled Aniru Conteh and David Demba and had Abubacarr Kuyateh lbw. After Mustapha Suwareh was run out, Ramjani had Musa Jobarteh stumped and Ousman Bah lbw in the space of three balls, and Gambia were 19 for 9. Jarju added eight more with Malang Touray before Joseph Baguma's second ball had Touray stumped. Nine of Gambia's ten wickets were bowled, lbw or stumped; the other was a run-out.
Obuya then took 20 runs from six balls, Anas Baig hit a four, and the chase took 10 balls.
Gambia have now lost all three matches, and this was the heaviest of the defeats. Jarju's 15 not out from 15 balls was a sign that it was possible to bat, but the rest of the order lasted 35 balls between them. There is not much analysis to do on a day like this. The batters need to find a way to survive the new ball, because the bowlers had only 27 runs to defend.
Riazat's first over decided the match. He bowled Bojang with the second ball and Campbell with the third, and Gambia never recovered. He bowled one maiden and took 3 for 11 from his three overs. Kasaija took the same number of wickets, but Riazat made the start that turned this into a rout.
This match didn't have a CricIntel preview, so there is no prediction to grade. We'll have full analysis for the next encounter.
Uganda have won all three matches, as have Nigeria, and a ten-wicket win with 110 balls to spare has brought Uganda's net run rate very close to Nigeria's. The meeting between the two unbeaten sides is likely to decide who finishes top. For Gambia, the aim now is to get something from their remaining games.
